BATH | UNITED KINGDOM

23:08

After years of saying we would go on a Day Trip somewhere, my friend Christy and I finally took action last week and went to Bath and as always whenever we do things together, it was wonderfully eventful!

Summing up the day in a nutshell:

1) Breakfast smoothies and avocado sandwiches in the car
2) Driving in a torrential downpour, barely being able to see through the windscreen

3) Dodgy parking spaces and climbing over the passengers seat to get in and out of the car

4) Climbing the steepest hill and wishing we were fitter

5) Incredible views that made the exhausting climb worth it
6) Making friends with strangers and their dogs

7) Drinking real coffee
8) Exploring

9) Drinking more coffee
10) Abandoned and dereilict churches

11) Creating theme tunes for a children's tv show on the way home

Unfortunately because of the rain, we didn't get to do much, but I definitely want to go again.  Despite the road accidents causing traffic, torrential rain, and minimal flat ground in Bath, we didn't let that stop us from having fun.  Not only did our little day trip give us a nice little break from London, but we saw so many things that got us inspired.
As this is a photography post, I shall quit the talking and get onto the photographs.

We made a friend called Wilfed, most content little pup I've ever met!
So gloomy but we so happy :)

 Bath Abbey ft. A Seagull

We found a derelict church, with no roof and only 3/4 of it's walls intact, something that looked beautiful yet eerily creepy at the same time.
Made a stop at Mokoko coffee and I misread their menu and read "mocha" as "matcha" and got very excited.  Unfortunately they didn't sell any, but the incredible barista John who worked there had a secret stash of matcha and made me a matcha green tea latte! John, you made a great day even better.
One of my favourite stores we discovered during the day!

To Christy, thank you for suggesting we go to Bath, thank you for being an incredible tour guide and thank you for being oh so fun!
